More Calls for Funding Towards Bridge Repairs and Replacements

Andrew has once again written to Scottish Government Ministers Kate Forbes & Kevin Stewart asking for action to repair or replace the multiple bridges in Aberdeenshire closed or at risk. He has also asked Councillors what might be done with existing funds. In The Press and Journal today.

Bridge Crisis

Andrew has written again to all levels of Government calling for a solution to the bridge crisis in Aberdeenshire. There are currently dozens of bridges across the Shire, many in West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine which are either partially or completely closed.

Andrew writes to the Chancellor on IR35

Andrew has today (17th December 2019) written to Sajid Javid, the Chancelllor of the Exchequer, asking the Chancellor to outline when the UK Government's promised review of IR35 will take place.

Andrew Continues to Lobby for Scotrail Changes

Andrew has written to Scotrail for a third time stating that "The silence’ from senior management on the issues faced by passengers at Stonehaven and Laurencekirk is unacceptable."

Andrew Asks For Funding to Repair and Replace Bridges

Earlier today Andrew raised the closure of Abbeyton & Park Bridges in Parliament. Andrew asked to discuss ways of allowing the UK Govt to directly fund crucial pieces of infrastructure that Aberdeenshire Council cannot fund due to budget cuts from the Scottish Government.
