New oil & gas tax changes set to protect jobs and energy security

Today the Treasury announced that a floor price will be introduced to the Energy Profits Levy on North Sea oil and gas production. This will see the tax rate levied on the industry fall back to 40% when prices consistently return to normal levels for a sustained period.

Andrew to Fight for Portlethen Police Station

Andrew has called on Portlethen’s Asda supermarket to be considered as an alternative home for the town’s closure-threatened police station over fears its absence will lead to a rise in crime.
