Abbeyton Bridge Intervention

Andrew has written a joint letter to the Scottish Government, alongside Liam Kerr MSP asking them to intervene in the Abbeyton Bridge situation. The bridge is currently closed and will need to be demolished, as yet there is no plan for replacing it. 

Surgery Dates Announced

Andrew Visits Defence Academy

Andrew joined colleagues for a visit to the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom at the beginning of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme. Hearing from and talking to senior officers and officials about the state of the Armed forces and Britain's Defence Strategy in 2018 and beyond. 

Backing British Farming

Andrew has pledged to stand up for British farming and rural Scotland following the NFU visit to Parliament today.

Speaking in Parliament Andrew said he is "proud to Back British Farming today and all year round." 

 

End Fuel Price Lottery

Andrew is urging fuel suppliers and supermarkets to end the lottery on prices following the news that customers in rural areas are paying far more than elsewhere for petrol.

Ecuador Trip

Andrew was invited to join UPLA again this year. During the 4 day trip to Ecuador Andrew discussed campaigning and youth politics in Latin America, met with CREO and took the opportunity to catch up with Executive Director Nicolas Figari.

 

Visit to Wellsafe Solutions

Andrew met with local company Wellsafe Solutions yesterday.

He described the Aberdeenshire based firm as "A truly revolutionary company blazing a trail in the P&A world of decommissioning."

Andrew Pledges Support for Local Pub

Andrew met Thomas Drummond, owner of the Learney Arms to see the brilliant work that has gone into refurbishment of the well known Torphins pub.

Bank of Scotland Visit in Banchory

Andrew has been extremely outspoken against the closures of local bank branches throughout West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine, highlighting on many occasions the importance of local branch provision.
