Surgery Tour

Andrew had a great day to today visiting the Mearns area. He held surgeries in Edzell Woods, Laurencekirk, Arbuthnot and Stonehaven.

A lot of important casework and local issues has come out of it, and look forward helping my local residents out.

PoppyScotland Launch

Andrew was delighted to join Poppyscotland at the launch of their 2017 Poppy Appeal campaign, which was hosted by the Secretary of State for Scotland, David Mundell MP, at Dover House.

Scottish Business Taskforce

Today during the Scottish Questions, Andrew asked the Secretary of State for Scotland about the Scottish Business Taskforce, which will meet for the first time on Friday. 

Emergency Universal Credit Debate

Andrew spoke at an emergency debate held in the Hosue of Commons chamber. The debate was in regards to the Universal Credit roll out. 

Colleges Scotland

Andrew had a really interesting and in depth discussions with Colleges Scotland and with the Chief Exec Shona Struthers and Policy Director Andrew Witty.

Andrew visits JobcentrePlus

Andrew had an interesting & inspirational visit to London JobcentrePlus. He met with claimants, employers and the dedicated recruitment staff on a visit with other members of the Work and Pension Committee. 

Andrew wants Young People to be heard

Andrew Bowie is delighted to be joining other Conservative MP's who are under 35 years old, to make sure that the voices of young people across the country are heard.

Universal Credit debate

Today Andrew spoke in the Opposition Day debate on Universal Credit Roll out  in the House of Commons. He mentioned how Universal Credit frees people from the benefit trap, and that the opposition must stop the scare mongering which is deterring vulnerable people from applying.

'Fresh ideas' needed to combat GP shortages in rural Aberdeenshire

The Scottish Government must do more to ensure that rural communities have access to GPs. Andrew is in the Evening Express and The Mearns Leader and Kincardineshire Observer today talking about the need for more focus to be put on rural Aberdeenshire.
