Portlethen Voluntary Ambulance

Andrew met with the Portlethen Voluntary Ambulance service, which is a completely voluntary organisation which runs a 15 seater minibus for the benefit of the community.

Speech: Universal Credit Rollout Report

Andrew gave a speech in the House of Commons, regarding the Universal Credit rollout.

He said, "Universal Credit is perhaps the biggest reform to welfare since the Beveridge Report in 1942 and it's right we spend our time debating it."

 

Question: The bright future of Zimbabwe

Andrew asked the Foreign Secretary, the Rt Hon Boris Johnson, if the UK sees a bright future for the people and the republic. He was pleased to hear that we see it as a prosperous country that contributes a lot to the continent.

Indyref2 could be inevitable

Andrew, along with his Scottish colleague Douglas Ross MP, were in the Press and Journal today, discussing the inevitability of a second independence referendum, if people continued to vote for the SNP.

Second Independence Referendum

Andrew spoke in two debates that were presented to parliament on a Second Independence Referendum.

Remembrance Day

Andrew had the proud honour to lay a wreath at the Stonehaven War Memorial, as part of the local Remembrance Sunday memorial service.

 

Ringlink visit with Kirstene Hair MP

Andrew, along with Kirstene Hair MP for Angus, visited Ringlink in Laurencekirk. Ringlink is UK's largest machinery business link, with membership exceeding 2700. The two MPs discussed the challenges and opportunities facing Ringlink and especially the agriculture sector in the North East.

Andrew holds Youth Surgery

Andrew held his first Youth Surgery at the Banchory Academy. This surgery allowed young people from 1st-6th year ask their local MP questions.

Glasgoforest Farm visit

Andrew met Anne at the team at Glasgoforest Farm in West Aberdeenshire, and saw the incredible work that is being done in the Organic Dairy sector. The highlight of the visit was seeing plans for the Self-vending Milk machine, which is due to go live in a few weeks time.
