Scottish Government agency Visit Scotland have announced that they will close the Visitor Information Centre in Ballater.

This decision is deeply unhelpful to efforts by the local community to increase tourism and give visitors a better experience of the beautifal Royal Deeside.

Andrew to campaign to save Ballater visitor centre

Only six years after the last wave of closures, it’s obvious VisitScotland don’t see a future for this kind of physical presence.

There is no indication about redundancies at present, but I have asked for more information and what support there will be available.
