EU Withdrawal Agreement Voted Through

Last night in Parliament MPs voted through the Prime Ministers EU Withdrawal Agreement. Andrew described the event as a huge step towards delivering Brexit.

Andrew has written to Scotrail for a third time stating that "The silence’ from senior management on the issues faced by passengers at Stonehaven and Laurencekirk is unacceptable."

Andrew spent the day out and about in Kemnay today during a brief trip home from Parliament before returning the same evening ready for a rare Saturday sitting. After a busy morning on the doors he spoke about the positive response from constituents towards getting Brexit done.

Andrew Asks For Funding to Repair and Replace Bridges

Earlier today Andrew raised the closure of Abbeyton & Park Bridges in Parliament. Andrew asked to discuss ways of allowing the UK Govt to directly fund crucial pieces of infrastructure that Aberdeenshire Council cannot fund due to budget cuts from the Scottish Government.

Queens Speech Debate

Last night in the debate on the Queens Speech Andrew called for Parliament to work together and deliver a good Brexit "so that we can reunite the country and move on and deliver this positive, forward looking, One Nation programme for our whole country."

James Tayor Statue Unveiled

Andrew spent the morning along side other local politicians and hundreds of people at the unveiling of the statue of James Taylor in Auchenblae. The local Mearns man introduced tea to Sri Lanka.

Andrew Visits Rovop

Today, Andrew caught up with Steve Gray at Westhill based company Rovop, They took the opportunity to discuss the current state of play in the oil sector, business and Brexit.

 

ScotRail Public Meeting

Andrew attended a packed public meeting in Laurencekirk tonight, ScotRail reps were questioned by members of the public annoyed by the changes to the timetable and the woeful service experienced on trains going south.
